Remote communities affected by strikes and power interruptions, needed fuel generators to power necessary hospitals. Many locations were in very remote destinations and the fuel tanks needed to be able to sustain robust environments.
As a standard product the ORCA OST-4500 (4,500L tank) was ascertained to be the best solution for the remote areas. The units were painted in camouflage colours as required.
Army vehicles are the only form of transport that can navigate these remote regions. Therefore, the trailers on which the fuel tanks were mounted, needed to accommodate this. Along with our local chassis partner we designed a specification with a short wheel base for better performance and an indestructible frame.
We supplied hospitals with an initial 13 units, which worked perfectly for their intended use. A further 25 units were supplied to increase their operational support.
